This mattress delivers unmatched protection from microshear, macroshear, and rotational shear. It even helps to reduce caregiver injury, since the caregiver can “glide” the patient back into position.
The Geo-Mattress® UltraMax™'s dual layer design is at the root of its unmatched performance. The exterior of the mattress has individually articulating cells. These cells are paired with Span-America's Shear Transfer Zone, designed to help protect patient skin integrity.
The interior of the mattress is just as carefully designed. The 3-dimensional zoning core features anatomically calibrated levels of support designed to work with a patient's body for unmatched comfort. A high resiliency UHP 500 layer in the seat area provides support which is 55% greater than what is typically provided by medical grade foams. This design gives patients support in the areas where they need it most. The gentle heel slope and viscoelastic foam helps to protect the vulnerable heel area from damage or irritation.
This mattress is paired with a bi-directional stretch cover.
